Outside the Curriculum
Parramatta Marist is part of the Catholic schools debating association (CSDA) and the Marist oratory group.
These two organizations allow willing and talented students to compete in public speaking and debating competitions. As a school we devote ample amounts of time to nurturing the public speaking talents seen in our students.

- Public Speaking: A multi round competition, that leads to a climax, being the grand final.
- Oratory: A one round public speaking competition. This is exclusively for Marist schools in NSW.
- Debating: A team of three students are given a random topic, which they must speak about after an hours preparation, this than leads to the competitive debate between two schools.
SRC
Parramatta Marist also has a student representative comity (SRC). This provides students with the chance to develop their leadership skills. The SRC also allows representatives to design activities for their peers. It is a friendly diplomatic atmosphere which enables the students to pass their ideas onto the principal where they are approved and put in place.
